Sara Lewis, Clinical Trauma Counsellor

Sara’s primary goal as a counsellor is to provide an emotionally-safe, non-judgemental space where she and her clients can explore the barriers that are preventing them from feeling content, hopeful, and whole. Sara prioritizes a trauma-informed perspective, and collaborates with her clients through a variety of counselling approaches including Emotion-Focused therapy (EFT), Narrative therapy, and Cognitive-Behaviour therapy (CBT). Sara has worked with a wide range of issues, including addiction, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), self-esteem, and relationship concerns. Sara’s aim is to help clients move from a placing of coping, to a place of living.  Sara is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, with a Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Sara has experience working in both the private and non-profit sector, including residential addiction treatment centers. Sara is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for the treatment of trauma and PTSD.
